All residents and visitors on Koshlong benefit from the work of the KLA, including:
Water hazard marking == safe boating for all
- Firebox program == control deadly fires through public access to water pumps
- Lake water quality monitoring == preservation of the lake's natural beauty and ecosystem
- Maintenance of public website == access to vital information
- Canada Day dock concert & fireworks display == cottaging fun!
Membership provides you and your family with additional benefits, including:+ Social activities like the annual Golf Friendly, Fun Day and paddling events + Cottage Watch program + Advocacy with local and provincial businesses, industry and governing bodies + Subscription to our annual, full-colour print newsletter, the Wavelength + Regular news updates by email + Access to restricted areas of this website, including the membership directory + Participation in contests, such as the annual Wavelength cover photo, or recent logo re-design + Membership in the Federation of Ontario Cottage Associations (FOCA), which gives you exclusive access to informative webinars and print materials, plus Cade Cottage First Insurance and limited legal advice + Potential discounts on your cottage insurance through other brokers | Membership fees for 2023 are $45 per cottage. These dues provide 80% of the KLA's annual budget for the activities shown here -- the rest comes from our generous sponsors' advertisements and from member donations. Please consider making a donation to your lake association so we can continue to offer a full slate of activities this year and in years to come.
